Student Scholarships to attend Enrichment Events at Captain Avery Museum.
Captain Avery Museum has received partial funding from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County to provide scholarships for low-income students and their families to attend upcoming enrichment events at the museum.
The project makes the arts accessible to underserved communities through our region’s Chesapeake Bay culture, which is celebrated at Oyster Festival, and through Tchaikovsky’s classic Nutcracker ballet, which is performed each year at our “Tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy and Nutcracker Prince” event.
This grant requires matching funds. We need your generous support to raise money for the scholarships. You may purchase an entire scholarship for a student and their family or contribute a dollar amount to help us raise scholarship money. Donors will receive a thank you card from the students.
Each elementary school in southern Anne Arundel County (Shady Side, Deale, Tracy’s and Lothian) will receive 2 scholarships for each enrichment event. Student must be accompanied by an adult.
