“Reflections of Piney Point” is a fine-art canvas photograph by regional Maryland photographer Jeff Smallwood.
The artist’s statement is on the back of the framed photo and says: “Reflections on Piney Point was made by viewing the lighthouse as reflected in the dark innkeeper’s window. The reflections are slightly offset due to the decaying structure of the window frame causing the glass panes to sit at different angles from each other. The ripples and waves are from the natural imperfections in the old glass. There’s a hint of double exposure due to the inner part of the window barely showing through the reflection in a few places”.
