Join us as a partner site with Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area in a nationwide initiative led by the Hawai‘i America250 Commission for a synchronized reading of the Declaration of Independence across the United States. Together, we will commemorate and recreate the historic moment when the Declaration was first read publicly throughout the colonies on July 8, 1776.
Community members are invited to take part in this special event featuring a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, live music, and a community picnic. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase. Come celebrate our nation's history and enjoy an evening of community and music.
