Spring Yoga Series

Certified yoga instructor, Virginia Barrera, will lead a 6-week yoga series beginning Thursday, May 2nd.

Scroll down for more details.

All levels encouraged to join!

Thursdays, May 2 - June 6, 2024 CLOSED

**The class on May 30th has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 4.**

4:00-5:00 pm - Gentle Yoga for Everyone

5:30-6:30 pm - Hatha Flow Yoga

As a yoga instructor, Virginia Barrera, brings to her students a depth of experience in Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa style yoga with classes that include teachings in meditation, mental and emotional wellness, and breath awareness.

Gentle Yoga for Everyone

In this class, participants will stretch and strengthen their bodies through a gentle sequence of calm, deliberate poses. This is a low-intensity class with seated and standing poses intended to strengthen the core, connect one's movement with each breath, and reduce stress. All experience levels welcome. Great for beginners, seniors, and anyone who would like to focus on relaxation techniques.

Hatha Flow Yoga

In this class, participants will move through a steady flow of poses synchronizing their movements with their breathing. This promotes a conscious feeling of one's mind and body acting as one. All experience levels welcome. Great for anyone who would like to practice breath awareness and meditation.

Online Registration must be completed by 3:00pm on the selected day of class. If a class has fewer than 4 registrants, it will be cancelled and registered participants will be notified asap.

Participants are welcome to bring their yoga mat, blocks, and bands. Yoga mats will be provided for anyone who needs it. (We're also taking donations of equipment--see below.)

Virginia is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and has completed her 200-hour teacher training. She is currently working on her 500-hour training with Breathe for Change, a yoga teacher program that concentrates on trauma informed teaching with an equitable, accessible, community based, and healing centered focus.
