A Thousand Thank Yous to our 25th Annual Oyster Festival guests, volunteers, vendors, donors, grantors, partners, collaborators, sponsors, bakers, neighbors, musicians, & artists. This event is our biggest annual fundraiser!

The board and staff of Captain Avery Museum

25th Annual Oyster Festival - Saturday, October 15

Join us on Saturday, October 15 from 12:30-5:00pm

For music, food and drink, our raffle, and oysters, oysters, oysters! Our headliner musical group is Eastman String Band!

This year we have four musical groups performing at two locations on the property! It promises to be our best ever. You can purchase tickets on the day of the festival or you can get virtual tickets online right here. $10 for Adults and $5 for children.

In case of rain, our raindate is Sunday, October 16 - 12:30-5:00pm

What to Know

Parking

  • On-site parking is only for musicians, vendors, and attendees with wheelchairs or walkers. All other attendees must park 0.5 miles off-site at Shady Side Park (1355 E. West Shady Side Rd.) or Clarks Landing (1442 Ford Rd.) which is just next to the park.
  • If you park at Clarks Landing, you must move your vehicle before 5 PM.
  • A shuttle service will run between the festival and the off-site parking lots. It is also only a 10 minute walk.
  • Street parking is not allowed.

Admissions

  • There are no physical tickets.
  • If you prepaid for admission or receive free admission with your member benefits, you can check in at the Admissions table under the PRE-PAID sign.

Payments Accepted

  • Some vendors are cash-only and all vendors are cash-preferred.
  • ATMs will be onsite (with surcharge fees).

Alcohol

  • Outside alcohol is not permitted.
  • If you are 21+ years old, bring your ID with you. We are legally required to check ID for anyone who will purchase or drink alcohol. If you do not have your ID with you, we will not give you a bracelet. Without a bracelet you will not be served.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for the health and safety of all attendees.

Raffle

  • If you got raffle tickets ahead of time, you can pick them up at the Raffle Booth on the lawn.
  • The drawing will be held at 5 PM. You do not need to be present to win.
  • Winner may be asked to show ID.

Children

  • Children must be supervised by an adult or guardian, including when they're in the Kids' Areas.

Pets

  • While our grounds are pet-friendly, we encourage you to leave your pet at home. It’s a very crowded environment and pets may not enjoy it as much as you.
  • Pets must stay on a leash and are not allowed in the building.

Community

  •  We are in the middle of a residential area and ask that you be respectful of our neighbors and their properties.

Safety

  • This is a family-friendly event for all ages to enjoy. Anyone disrupting the peace of the event will be asked to leave.
  • The Captain Avery Museum does not allow firearms, knives, or other destructive devices on its premises. Thank you for leaving them at home.
