Maryland Day 2022 - $1.00 Event

Carol Booker, Author of Cove Point on the Chesapeake: the Beacon, the Bay, and the Dream

Carol Booker will be speaking about her book at the museum on

Sunday, March 27 at 2 PM. Cost is $1.00

Cove Point on the Chesapeake:

Carol is shown here at the Russian Princess Chapel at Herrington Harbor North.

Carol Booker will be speaking on her new book, Cove Point on the Chesapeake: the Beacon, the Bay, and the Dream (New Bay Books, Sept. 2021).

Hear an extraordinary tale of heroes, villains, dreamers, and schemers who shaped a tiny waterfront community on the Chesapeake, once notorious for shipwrecks and treacherous rip currents. Sounding at times like a fairy tale, the story jibes from the idyllic bayside of the 1930s back to pre-Bolshevik Russia, a young princess, and the roots of a mysterious chapel that almost a century later survives miles away on a hillside in southern Maryland.
