Got a minute? Check out these images from FY20. Please consider making a donation to keep us strong in 2021.
With your support, Captain Avery Museum weathered the pandemic storm. We were able to use the time we were closed to complete our building renovations, design and install new museum exhibits, and plan for re-opening. And now the time is here!
Please join us on Sunday, July 18 from 12-4 PM for the debut of our new museum exploring Three Centuries of Chesapeake Bay History and an exclusive exhibition of the sculptures of local artist Norman Gross. I hope you can join us!
As we start a new year, we are asking you to renew your support. Your membership enables us to keep going beyond the re-opening and once again provide enriching and relevant experiences to visitors of all ages. Please consider joining as a member or renewing at a higher level. Click above to complete your membership online. Thank you so much if you have already renewed!
The Captain Avery Museum will be where people can learn, explore and feel connected to their environment, community, and each other. Consider what having this historic site and museum in your community means to you, and what you can give to keep us here.
Follow the link above or mail a check to Captain Avery Museum at P.O. Box 89, Shady Side, MD 20764, to ensure you can take advantage of your membership benefits for the full year. Thank you again for your support and I look forward to seeing you at our re-opening on Sunday, July 18th!
